The West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) has announced its intention to continue the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) despite the Sallah public holiday.
The WAEC’s Head of Public Affairs Unit, Demianus Ojijeogu, who spoke with Punch, announced that the Agricultural Science and Woodwork Examination for private candidates slated for Monday, September 4, will not be postpone for the celebration.
Ojijeogu said: “The examination will go on as scheduled. We are not cancelling the examination. “Candidates across the participating countries have been notified and we expect them to be at the examination centres on Monday.’’
