The University of Dundee Humanitarian Scholarship for postgraduate taught programmes for Overseas students to study at the university is currently ongoing.

8 Humanitarian Scholarships are offered each year for a one-year Postgraduate taught programme, within any University of Dundee Academic School. One Humanitarian Scholarship will be available to doctoral candidates applying via the Palestinian HESPAL scheme.

Duration of The Scholarship: 

1 year

Eligibility for University of Dundee Humanitarian Scholarship:

  • If you are currently in the UK – Hold the status afforded by the UK Government of ‘humanitarian protection’, hold full refugee status (granted by the UK Government), or have Discretionary leave to Remain on the basis of an asylum application. All of the above qualified statuses must have been granted from a date normally within 3 years from the start date of any Postgraduate programme for which you are applying. You will also need to have evidence of (where applicable) English language proficiency (IELTS or otherwise).
  • If you are currently overseas – If applying on Humanitarian grounds you must provide evidence of humanitarian protection, citizenship, and proof of residence. You will also need to have evidence of (where applicable) English language proficiency (IELTS or otherwise).

How To Apply For University of Dundee Humanitarian Scholarship:

Applicants are only eligible to apply for the Scholarship following receipt of a conditional or unconditional academic offer from the University of Dundee.  Once you have received an offer of entry to the University of Dundee, the University of Dundee will notify you if you are eligible to apply for the Humanitarian Scholarship. At this point, the university will send you details of how to apply, the application form and information on where to return your application. Applicants must be able to evidence their refugee status or have humanitarian protection. No applications will be considered without evidence.

Applications must be received no later than 31 March 2018

Important Note:  Applicants for a Scholarship will be informed of the panel decision no later than the end of June 2018.
