Newcastle University, which is officially known as the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. It is located in the North East of England and is a public research university in Newcastle upon Tyne.

The origin of this tertiary institution is traced to a School of Medicine and Surgery which was later known as the College of Medicine, founded in 1834, and to the College of Physical Science which was later renamed Armstrong College), established in 1871.

The College of Medicine and the Armstrong College came together to form one division of the federal university of Durham, with the Durham Colleges having the other formed. Following an Act of Parliament, King’s College became the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1963.

According to undergraduate tuition fees and costs, a continuous pay of a tuition fee of £9,000 for the duration of a degree programme is expected of  current UK/EU students who began courses in 2015 or earlier.

Tuition fee loans which are available for eligible students from the UK and EU, can be taken so asto study without paying a penny upfront. The repayment of this loan can only start after eligible applicants have graduated and earning over £25,000.
