The Governor of Borno state, Kashim Shettima has rewarded Israel Zakari Galadima for having the highest score in the 2018 utme.
The state’s Commissioner for Higher Education, Usman Jaha on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, presented a cheque of N5 million to the student at the office of the Registrar of Covenant University, Ota, in Ogun state.
Earlier, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board declared Galadima as the highest scorer in the 2018 UTME with 364 in the exam, which surpassed 354 of Ape Moses, a student of New Covenant Christian College International, Makurdi, Benue State, earlier celebrated as the best candidate in the exam.
Meanwhile, few days after JAMB announced Galadima as the best candidate in the 2018 UTME, the Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima invited and hosted Galadima and his mother, Jummai Galadima to the Government House in Maiduguri.

The governor while hosting them reportedly announced a full scholarship for Galadima to study Electronics Engineering at Covenant University.
