Be Punctual: Ogun State Urges Teachers

As the wind of change continues to blow across the nation, the Ogun Teaching Service Commission on yesterday implored teachers in public secondary schools to improve on their skills, in a bid to sustain the academic performance of pupils across the State.

The called was made by the Full-Time Commissioner 1, Ogun Teaching Service Commission, Mr Timothy Adebowale, who spoke in Abeokuta while inspecting activities of teachers in some schools.

He expressed his shock in some schools where teachers formed the habit of teaching pupils without lesson notes, which should serve as guidelines and stressed the need for teachers to make use of structural materials provided by the government in teaching the pupils.

The commissioner pledged to continue to monitor the activities of the teachers in order to achieve the best for the sector and also entreats teachers to be punctual in school, keep statutory records and discharge their duties as expected.
