2017 Ranking: Nigerian Universities With The Highest Number Of Professors

THE National Universities Commission (NUC), in its latest 2017 ranking, has rated the University of Ibadan (UI) first among its peers in Nigeria.

The NUC ranking placed other first generation universities in the top five with the University of Nigeria, Nsukka ranked second, Obafemi Awolowo University, third and Ahmadu Bello University, fourth and University of Lagos ranking fifth.

The ranking also indicated that the University of Benin is sixth, Bayero University Kano, 7th, while the University of Ilorin occupy the 9th position.

Reacting to the latest ranking, the Vice Chancellor of UI, Professor Idowu Olayinka, said the university was thinking more about ranking among the top five in Africa in the next few years.
