Ten primary school pupils who distinguished themselves in the entrance examination into the Chrisland Secondary Schools for the 2014/2015 academic session have been awarded scholarship.
The scholarship introduced by the chairman/founder of Chrisland Schools, Dr. Winifred Awosika, is to reward academic excellence and hard work in pupils.
Over 500 candidates, wrote the examination conducted in various centres – Lagos, Warri, Port-Harcourt, and Abuja.
According to managing director, Chrisland Schools, Mrs. Ronke Adeyemi, the founder decided to increase scholarship recipients from six to 10 in line with her commitment to encouraging academic execellence.
She said, “In the past, we had given scholarship to six pupils who distinguished themselves in the entrance examination, but this year, the chairman/founder increased the number to 10, because she believes academic excellence must be rewarded.”
